This throttle grip sleeve is intended for use with a Mikuni TM flat slide carburetor with the original XT500 throttle grip housing, and throttle cables
The throttle cables of the XT500 must be swapped before fitting this throttle grip sleeve to the Mikuni TM36/TM40 carburetor: the opener cable becomes the closer cable and vice versa (this means the rubber on the throttle cable set is the other way round - the corrugation is at the bottom) No further modifications necessary!
