The skid plate has been designed using the latest technologies and computer simulations, which allows for maintaining streamlined shapes, low weight and maximum durability. The skid plate has been created using many layers of carbon and Kevlar, thanks to which it retains high stiffness, while being flexible and having high impact strength. The technological solution used in the construction of the engine cover was tested in the harsh conditions of the Dakar Rally by experienced riders. An additional element protecting the motorcycle in the event of an impact are special mounts which will deform without damaging the frame, acting as a crumple zone.
